Announce Recall of 2008 Off-Highway Motorcycles
The following product safety recall was
conducted voluntarily by Kawasaki in cooperation
with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using the
product immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of product: 2008 Kawasaki model KLX140A8F/B8F
off-highway motorcycles.
Units: 192
Manufacturer: Kawasaki Motors Enterprise
(Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Hazard: One or more of the frame welds may be
incomplete or missing. This can allow the frame to
crack or break creating the potential for a crash
resulting in injury or death.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: The Kawasaki motorcycles are 2008
model KLX140 off-highway motorcycles. They are
designed for the beginner as well as the more
advanced rider. They are green in color and have
“Kawasaki” identification on the sides of the fuel
tank and KLX140 underneath the seat on both sides.
Sold at: Authorized Kawasaki dealers from January
4, 2008 to present. Retail price is $2,699.
Manufactured in: Thailand.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the motorcycle
immediately and contact their Kawasaki dealer to
schedule an appointment to inspect the frame and
weld if required.
