BABBITT’S ONLINE/MONSTER ENERGY®/KAWASAKI TEAM GREEN RIDER NICK DEFEO LANDS ON PODIUM AT THE FIRST ROUND OF THE AMA NATIONAL ENDURO SERIES

Sumter, South Carolina. - The opening round of the National Enduro Series took place in the sand and pines of South Carolina over the weekend, where team members Grant Baylor (Pro 1) and Nick Defeo (Pro 2) started their 2024 campaigns off with mixed results.

The day started off well for the reigning Pro 1 champion, Baylor, who, through the first four tests, was in contention for the overall win until, in test five, an unfortunate mishap with the motorcycle forced Baylor to withdraw from the competition, resulting in an eighth-place finish.

Series newcomer Nick Defeo started his National Enduro campaign off with a bang, landing on the podium in the Pro 2 class in his first go at the series. Defeo would snag two test wins on his KX250X on his way to a third-place finish in class and a respectful 10th overall.

“This was my first actual enduro; it was a cool day. I struggled with the tight stuff, but it was a fun day, and I'm happy to end up on the podium. I look forward to racing the full series in 2024,” said Defeo on his day.

The second round of the AMA National Enduro Series will take place on April 7th in the swamps of Forest Hill, Louisiana, where Grant and Nick will look to land their KX motorcycles onto the top step of the podium.
