ROMAIN FEBVRE NARROWLY MISSES PODIUM IN SWEDEN, CLIMBS TO SIXTH IN MXGP STANDINGS

Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP's Romain Febvre narrowly missed the podium at the Swedish round of the FIM World MXGP Motocross Championship in Uddevalla, finishing just outside the top three due to a tiebreaker after securing third place in the first moto.

In Race 1, Febvre grabbed the holeshot, but two riders, including his KRT teammate Jeremy Seewer, slipped past him in the first turn. With the track drying quickly, passing opportunities were limited, and the top five positions stayed tight but unchanged. On lap five, two bold moves by the championship leaders briefly dropped Febvre to fifth, but he quickly regained fourth. With ten minutes left in the race, he passed his teammate to secure third, finishing just behind the title contenders.

Race 2 didn’t start as well for Febvre, as he exited the first turn outside the top ten. However, he put in a determined ride, making several impressive passes to eventually finish fourth. Despite his efforts, the tiebreaker from the second moto kept him off the podium, but he moved up to sixth in the overall series standings.
