Foothill Ranch, Calif. (February 25, 2024) - Monster Energy®/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Cameron Mcadoo battled through a rutted and challenging Texas track, securing the win in his Heat Race and second place in the Eastern Regional 250SX Class Main Event. Seth Hammaker claimed the top qualifying position and fourth in the main event, and Austin Forkner took first in his heat race but crashed while leading the main event. Monster Energy® Kawasaki rider Jason Anderson would finish third in his heat race and 10th in the 450SX Main Event after a crash on the first lap.

All three Kawasaki KX™250 riders came out swinging in qualifying with Hammaker and Forkner in the first and second position, and teammate Mcadoo qualified seventh, but was fastest in the first session. In the Heat 1, Forkner charged from a Top 5 start, engaging in a brief intense battle with Haiden Deegan as Forkner secured the victory. In the second heat race, McAdoo and Hammaker were in the second and third positions until McAdoo made a pass for the lead, taking the win in Heat 2 and Hammaker finishing third place. In the Main Event Forkner, Hammaker and McAdoo filled the Top 5 right off the start. Forkner quickly overtook the lead while Hammaker and McAdoo continued to charge. Forkner lead 16 of the 20 laps of the race until he crashed after mis-timing a jump in one of the tricky, rutted rhythm sections and was unable to continue. Hammaker made a few mistakes but maintained his speed until the end to finish fourth. McAdoo continued to charge, eventually moving into second where he would finish on the podium at an event themed to pay respect to our nation’s military service people including Cameron’s sister Mackenzie.
Anderson kicked off the weekend by securing a fifth place qualifying position and feeling comfortable on his KX™450SR. In the heat race, Anderson claimed second off the start and quickly made a pass for the lead. Anderson maintained the lead until a few mistakes sent him back to the third position where he would finish. In the main event, Anderson spun his tire on the start, causing him to be deep in the pack around the first turn. In the next turn, Anderson tipped over, sending him to 22nd position on the first lap. Throughout the remainder of the main event, Anderson maneuvered through his competitors eventually working his way up to 10th where he would finish.
“Today was a good day. I have been struggling with some knee pain recently, so to be able to grab a heat race win and second overall in the main feels good. We have proven that we have the speed to run up front, I just have to keep getting those starts and being consistent and I know we have a shot at this championship. Thank you to my Monster Energy®/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team for their support. Time to do it again in Daytona!”

“This weekend was a huge step in the right direction for me. Securing the fastest qualifier, maintaining a podium position in the heat and main event reminded me that I belong up front. We will keep working and taking these positive steps forward.”
- Seth Hammaker
“I felt okay today. I just have to practice those starts and stop making small mistakes like in the heat and main. We are better than I was tonight and I’m going to get to work this week and get ready for Daytona. Thank you to my Monster Energy® Kawasaki team for all of their hard work!”
