MONSTER ENERGY® PRO CIRCUIT KAWASAKI RIDER TY MASTERPOOL CLAIMS FIRST OVERALL WIN AND PRO CIRCUIT’S 300TH WIN MILESTONE IN PENNSYLVANIA

Foothill Ranch, Calif. (June 16, 2024) - Monster Energy® Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Ty Masterpool made history securing his first overall Professional win (2-1) as well as claiming the legendary 300th victory for the team. Teammate Levi Kitchen battled adversity making comebacks in each moto to finish ninth overall (10-9). Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Jason Anderson showcased speed leading laps and finishing sixth overall (7-4).

High Point Raceway, located in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, is a renowned motocross track celebrated for its challenging terrain and scenic backdrop. Established in 1976 and home of the series promoter, it has become a staple in the Pro Motocross Championship, drawing top riders and enthusiastic fans each year. The track features a mix of natural elevation changes, technical sections, and high-speed straights that would prove to be even more challenging this year after a substantial downpour of rain the night before race day.

During the morning muddy qualifying sessions, Masterpool and Kitchen kicked off their day impressively, securing the third and fifth positions. In Moto 1 of the 250MX Class, Masterpool secured a fourth place start and Kitchen was shuffled to the back. Masterpool began working his way through the Top 3, overtaking the lead halfway through Lap 1. Starting Lap 2 in the 33rd position, Kitchen began his charge forward, making his way up to 16th by Lap 4. Masterpool battled for the lead with Chance Hymas and swapped positions multiple times until officially securing the lead and establishing a gap. Holding his strong pace, Masterpool would lead the moto until two laps to go when the series leader stole the moto win. Kitchen would continue to battle through the pack, eventually finishing 10th in the moto. In Moto 2, Masterpool would secure another fourth place start and Kitchen in the Top 15. Masterpool quickly made his way into third and within a few laps overtook the lead. The No. 29 of Masterpool briefly tipped over in the turn before the finish line, losing the lead once again. Chaos ensued most of the moto with riders making mistakes and leads constantly changing, but Masterpool overtook the lead with three laps to go. Kitchen would maintain a steady pace in the Top 8, eventually making a mistake and settling in the ninth position for the moto. Masterpool held his composure and despite heavy pressure from Deegan, would secure the Moto 2 win, his first Pro career win, and etched his name in history claiming Pro Circuit’s 300th win.

In the 450MX Class, Anderson began the weekend by securing third place in qualifying. In Moto 1, the No. 21 caught a rut, resulting in a lackluster start. By Lap 1, the No. 21 made up crucial positions and began charging towards the front. Halfway through the moto, Anderson maneuvered his way through the rutted track into the seventh position where he would finish. In Moto 2, Anderson shot out of the gate on his KX450SR, exiting Turn 1 in second place. The No. 21 charged through the next few turns, quickly overtaking the lead. A battle with Jett Lawrence quickly ensued. While protecting his line, Anderson and Lawrence were passed by Chase Sexton, and a small mistake on Anderson’s part relegated the Kawasaki rider back to third. Anderson continued to run a steady pace through the moto until he cross rutted while battling with Hunter Lawrence, causing him to slow down. The No. 21 would charge the rest of the moto and finish in the fourth position.
