BABBITT’S ONLINE/MONSTER ENERGY®/KAWASAKI TEAM GREEN RIDER GRANT BAYLOR CLAIMS THIRD OVERALL AT THE LITTLE RACCOON NATIONAL ENDURO

Wellston, Oh. - Round five of the AMA National Enduro Series took place over the weekend at the Little Raccoon National Enduro in Ohio, where defending NE-Pro 1 champion Grant Baylor would make a return to the podium by navigating his way through the tight trees, dust and extreme heat en route to netting a third overall finish. Pro 2 rider Nick Defeo would finish sixth in class after an off day.

After finishing just off the podium at the last round of the  series, Baylor came into round five with a vengeance, looking to land his KX450X back on the podium. After finishing the first Test in the fourth overall position, Baylor would go on to be consistent the rest of the day, never finishing below fifth and reeling off two consecutive second place Test finishes to finish out the day in the third overall position.

“I made way too many mistakes today; I don’t know if I’ve wrecked that much in a race in my life. I had too many crashes in the early part of the day and a pretty good get-off in the fourth test after coming over a rise, face planting into a rock garden, really slowed me down, but other than that it was a super fun traditional enduro course, and I’m happy to be back up here on the podium.” said Baylor on his day.

The next round of the NEPG series will take place on July 28th at the Rattlesnake National Enduro in Crossforks, Pennsylvania, where Grant Baylor and Nick Defeo will look to be back on the podium.
