MONSTER ENERGY® PRO CIRCUIT KAWASAKI RIDER SETH HAMMAKER HEATS UP METLIFE STADIUM WITH DOMINANT VICTORY AND THE RED PLATE TAKEOVER

Foothill Ranch, Calif. (April 20, 2025) - Monster Energy® Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Seth Hammaker proved he’s a true championship contender with a commanding win at Round 14 of the Monster Energy® AMA Supercross Championship in East Rutherford, New Jersey, taking sole possession of the points lead in the 250SX Eastern Division.

Warm temperatures, strong winds, and sunshine made for slick conditions at MetLife Stadium, but that didn’t slow down the No. 56 Kawasaki of Hammaker. He kicked off the day by topping both qualifying sessions, earning the fastest overall time by over a second and first gate pick for his heat race. In Heat 2, Hammaker launched out of the gate and settled into fourth, but quickly made decisive moves to take over second. With his sights set on the lead, a few minor mistakes in the technical rhythm sections cost him time, but he regrouped, hit his marks, and held strong to finish second.

When the gate dropped for the 250SX Main Event, the No. 56 Kawasaki pilot was out front early putting his KX250 into second place off the start. He briefly slipped to third through the opening rhythm section but immediately reclaimed second with a smart inside line. In the third turn, Hammaker jumped to the inside to pass on the leader just before the triple, grabbing control of the race with a clear track ahead to focus on nailing the challenging rhythm lanes each lap. For the first five minutes, Hammaker held off pressure from second place, but as the race wore on, he began to pull away.

Hammaker was the fastest rider in four of the eight lap time sectors where he used his consistency to extend his lead to six seconds by the end of the race and was the only rider to dip down into a 51-second lap time. When the checkered flag flew, Hammaker crossed the line first, clinching the win and taking sole possession of the red plate heading into Pittsburgh with only two rounds remaining for the 250SX East Division.

“It was a good day here at MetLife. I was the fastest in qualifying, then P2 in the heat behind Nate [Thrasher]; he was riding well, but I felt solid. I got a great start in the main, passed Nate at the end of the rhythm lane and took the lead, which was key. He pressured me for a bit, but I found my lines, settled in, and started clicking off good laps. I navigated through lappers well and started jumping the whoops, which helped. I am super pumped to get the win and finally have the red plate to myself. It was great to do it close to home with family and friends here.”
