In 2018 Cianciarulo earned a career-best second place in the Monster Energy® AMA Supercross series standings and landed on the podium in seven out of the ten Supercross races he started. At the end of the Supercross season, Cianciarulo required season-ending surgery in May.

After missing a majority of the 2022 race season, Cianciarulo returned to the Monster Energy® Supercross series claiming 12 Top-10 finishes including one podium and securing ninth in points. No. 9 continued his upward momentum into the AMA Pro Motocross series, 11 Top 10 finishes, one podium and fifth overall in points. Cianciarulo carried momentum into the SuperMotocross World Championship Playoffs, finishing sixth in the overall point standings
